Alfred Joseph Schneiberg produces mainly figurative portraits and landscapes with controlled strokes and rich application of colour. This kind of painting serves as a means of showing everyday impressions of reality whose immanent beauty and / or truth disclose themselves to close scrutiny. A supposedly romanticist wish for perfection which is the underlying current, appears as denseness. Thus, Schneiberg moves between hovering and airy impression and passionately flickering expression, next to precise illusionistic - realistic painting which occupies a place of its own.
